10 Cases’ new Drop app brings fine wine to you

Fine wine should be a pleasure, not a chore. And that’s precisely why we’re so enamoured with the box-fresh Drop app, a London-based, bespoke delivery service which, from 24 October, will whizz top bottles direct to any Zone 1 or 2 destination via electric bike. What’s more, you can add artisan cheese, bread, smoked salmon, and charcuterie to your order. That’s our next impromptu dinner party sorted – read on for our five favourite reasons to love the new Drop App…

1 You can find your perfect match

The app allows you to select from over 150 wines; simply enter your preferred colour, price range and wine style to discover a range of expert recommendations. You can even search for wines suited to a particular occasion.

2 You can try before you buy
Opening in early November, Drop’s HQ will be opposite The 10 Cases on Covent Garden’s Endell Street – if you’re in the area, you can pop in to check out the full range of wines that are stacked high on shelves and served from a cute wooden bar.

3 You can win fine wine
Drop holds a weekly prize draw – and each order placed via the app gives you an automatic entry. The prize? A ‘Very Serious Bottle of Wine’ – a top-shelf, rare number that’s strictly ‘off-list’ and will be the envy of your friends.

4 The wines are interesting
In the five years since opening The 10 Cases, Ian and Will have never bought more than 10 cases of any wine, or listed the same wine twice. The same will be true of the Drop app, guaranteeing you an ever-evolving, diverse selection.

5 There’s a meticulous vetting process

Each and every wine available via Drop has been personally sampled and vetted by app founders Ian and Will. Only their favourites make the cut, and they pair are firmly committed to ‘rooting out the diamonds in the rough.’
