1 Try Queen of Hoxton’s Viking Themed Winter Rooftop
Queen of Hoxton’s Winter Wigwam has been reincarnated into a Viking stronghold and Nordic hideaway this winter complete with long boat, feasting hall and cosy WigWam. Fire pits, driftwood sculptures and a plenty of drinking horns, it’s the perfect spot to plonk down after your Christmas shopping to recharge with hot flowing mead, foraged cocktails, mulled wine, crackling fire pits with toasted marshmallows and decadent feasting. Just don’t expect to return to your Christmas shopping after.

2 Dine at Lodge d’Argent 


Following the success of last year’s Lodge d’Argent winter pop up, City restaurant Coq d’Argent will once again be creating a magical winter wonderland on its rooftop this festive season. Running from 23rd November until the end of February, Lodge d’Argent will this year be inspired by the Little Red Riding Hood story.

 This year, Head Chef Damien Rigollet’s Lodge d’Argent menu will focus on well-loved, hearty French classics, including Raclette gratin with ratte potatoes and Alpine dry cured ham; Pomme frites with Chablis and black truffle mustard mayonnaise; and Leek and Comté tart with mixed leaf salad. The dessert menu will offer dishes paired with Hennessy Cognac, including Chestnut macarons and Fresh waffles with hot chocolate and chantilly cream.

3 Celebrate Christmas Spirit At The Savoy 
This Christmas, The Savoy will be transformed into a frozen fantasia featuring a magnificent 15ft Boodles-inspired Christmas tree and, for the first time in Savoy history, an indoor Ice Rink and cascading Louis Roederer Champagne bauble installation.

Celebrated for its annual creative festivities, The Savoy’s Christmas celebrations will include special festive teas in the Thames Foyer, a luxury dining experience in Kaspar’s Seafood Bar and Grill, truly traditional British dining in Simpson’s-in-the-Strand and luxury gift shopping at The Savoy Tea.

A Champagne Festive Afternoon Tea will also be available, featuring Boodles inspired patisseries and Louis Roederer Vintage Rose cuvée.

4 Make a Christmas wreath fit for royalty!
Book your place at Britannia’s exclusive Christmas wreath-making evening with florist to Her Majesty The Queen, Judy Reid of Judy Reid Flowers.

As a Royal Warrant Holder, Judy Reid arranges flowers at The Palace of Holyroodhouse and Balmoral Castle and is delighted to share her passion and knowledge, whilst guiding you through 1.5 hours of Christmas wreath-making fun. Using seasonal berries, foliage and cones, your handmade Christmas wreath will then be yours to take home at the end of the evening. Champagne, canapés and a private tour of Her Majesty’s former floating palace is also included.

5 Feast on festive menus at Muriel’s Kitchen 

Get into the festive spirit at Muriel’s Kitchen with decadently stacked Christmas burgers, seasonal menus and a fabulously festive twist on afternoon tea.

From the Ultimate Christmas Burger, a succulent British beef patty layered with sticky cranberry jelly, gooey Brie and topped with crispy fried onions to succulent pork and turkey meatballs served with all the trimmings including roasted crispy hasselback potatoes, maple glazed Brussel sprouts, honey roasted carrots and parsnips, it’s the perfect pitstop for a festive feast. Desserts feature home-made chocolate and orange lava cake and panettone bread and butter pudding.

6 Pay a visit to The Gardening Society’s forest fantasia


Following the success of its summer residencies, John Lewis will transform its Oxford Street rooftop, The Gardening Society, into a festive and immersive forest for the festive season in collaboration with Mac & Wild.

Inspired by Britain’s woodlands and forests and designed by Tony Woods – previously awarded RHS National Young Garden Designer of the Year – guests will enter the rooftop into a natural fir tree glade, filled with wooden picnic tables interspersed amongst vegetable patches.

Bringing highly seasonal British fare, Mac & Wild has created a menu of hearty, highland-style dishes exclusive to the rooftop, peppered with a few favourites from its permanent site on Great Titchfield Street. Dishes include a new and exclusive John Lewis Christmas burger featuring a demi brioche bun, fried confit turkey leg, venison stuffing, brie, cranberry, and truffled bread sauce.

From the 1st December, customers will also be able to take some of the winter forest home with them and purchase their own Christmas tree from the rooftop tree lot.

7 Hire York & Albany’s Gingerbread Cabin


Step inside your very own fairytale for a festive treat. York & Albany has transformed its townhouse courtyard into a temporary winter wonderland – with a beautiful Gingerbread Cabin pop-up and specially created gingerbread range of menus to tuck into.

The chic cabin, available for private hire for groups of up to twelve guests, has been elegantly styled with a range of luxuriously festive decor. 8 Watch Once Upon a Time Hosts ‘The Little Treasured Toy Shop’

10 Feast at Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester


Set within one of London’s most iconic hotels, guests can enjoy a selection of bespoke menus and wine pairings that Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester’s talented Executive Chef Jean-Philippe Blondet and Head Sommelier Christopher Bothwell have created especially for an unforgettable celebration. 

Designed for family and friends to enjoy together, Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester’s bespoke celebration menus will be available on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. Dishes include ‘Delicate Shellfish consommé caviar’ which will be served on Christmas Eve and ‘Fillet of Denbighshire Venison celeriac and black truffle’ served on New Year’s Eve. 11 Try a Christabel’s Christmas cocktail class
Christabel’s have crafted a series of fresh and seasonal series of masterclassesses. At a ‘Festive Rocktail’ masterclass, guests are invited to rock out whilst  mixing, shaking and glamming up glorious Christmassy rock-star drinks.

To kick the evening’s event off, guests will be treated a glass of fizz, before being shown how to make two different cocktails –  the floral, gin-based Festive Flirt and the zesty, vodka-based Zinger.The group then gets the chance to flex their creative skills by rock-jewelling the cocktails with festive props, edible sequins, jewels and glitter.

Christabel’s will also be serving up some tasty bites, including Gin & Beetroot infused Smoked Salmon with Honey & Lemon on Rye, topped with Edible Violas and Glitter Salted Carmel Tarts with Metallic Raspberries.
