Join Firmdale Hotels for the exciting launch of its new monthly ‘Art Walks’ series

Calling all art addicts! Firmdale Hotels is launching an exciting ‘Art Walk’ series this May. The new tours will offer art enthusiasts a guided tour of art and sculpture in one of the Firmdale hotels, before exploring the surrounding galleries in the West End.

Ham Yard Hotel - Tony Cragg

Launching for the first time on 20th May at Ham Yard Hotel in the Drawing Room, visitors will be guided through owner and Design Director of Firmdale Hotels, Kit Kemp’s personally chosen art collection – before journeying on a walking tour to some of Soho and Mayfair’s most prestigious galleries, all led by curator Olivia Paterson.

Ham Yard Hotel - Martha Freud

Olivia will open doors to many of Soho and Mayfair’s exclusive art galleries, offering private tours of their latest exhibitions and shows, such as Marion Goodman Gallery, Gagosian Gallery, Ordovas Gallery and Hauser & Wirth.

Ham Yard Hotel - Sandra Blow

Kit Kemp’s passion for art is present within the interior design of all Firmdale Hotels with famous works juxtaposed beside up-and-coming artists. Artworks range from Tony Cragg’s sculpture, Group, in the centre of Ham Yard Hotel’s courtyard, to the mesmerising A Million Times installation by Humans since 1982 and Martha Freud’s 32 glowing porcelain pots, which feature within the restaurant.

Ham Yard Hotel - Howard Hodgkin

After the culture fix, the walk will finish at Ham Yard Hotel – where guests can opt for either a delicious three-course lunch or afternoon tea.
