HEAVENSAKE, the world’s first Franco-Japanese sake, has announced a series of exclusive sake pairing tasting menus with some of the capital’s most renowned restaurants. The first menu will be debuted at C London in Mayfair from January 2018 and will bring together the best authentic flavours from Italy with HEAVENSAKE’s Junmai Ginjo and Junmai Daiginjo.


Three times less acidic than wine, sulphite and gluten free, HEAVENSAKE is tailor-made for the progressive food scene, which makes it ideal for this sumptuous Italian feast.

What’s on the menu:
• Prosciutto and seasonal pear – a staple Mediterranean antipasti, perfectly matched with HEAVENSAKE’s Junmai Ginjo; a sake that is balanced and elegant in the mouth with a subtle hint of honeysuckle, white guava and dragon fruit.
• Creamy Burrata with Datterini tomatoes and black olives, paired with the Junmai Daiginjo, a sophisticated sake with a floral composition and a suave fruity taste.
• Guests are invited to personalise their sake journey, choosing between the Junmai Ginjo or Daiginjo, paired with Rib-eye tagliata and Indian saffron risotto.
• For dessert, a celebrated Tiramisù matched with the Junmai Ginjo; delicately floral on the nose, with aromas of citrus peel and blossoming apple trees, this sake elevates the elegant and rich layered Italian pudding.

Price: From £193.40 per person (subject to 15% service charge) and includes four tasting courses, one pairing of Junmai Daiginjo and one pairing of Junmai Ginjo. Shorter bespoke pairing options are available on request.
