Whilst January can often be seen as a gloomy and boring month after the excitement of December’s festivities, Young’s Pubs is aiming to uplift spirits instead by transforming Finch’s in Moorgate into a special ‘House of Happiness’ for one day only. Visit the pub on the 16th January to delight in the small and simple pleasures – with a head-to-toe immersive celebration of British hygge. On arrival, guests will have coats and bags whisked away by happiness hosts, before being handed a kit containing an eye mask and slippers to leave all traces of the outside world at the doors of the pub. As well as House of Happiness escapism pods designed to help relax and rejuvenate, there will be complimentary massages, pop-up chatter corners, letter writing stations, thought-provoking wellbeing talks and ‘happiness bursts’ hosted by Laughology. From tea blending and whisky tasting sessions to cake decoration and card writing workshops, there will be plenty to try during the fun experience. Guests are invited to stay for as long as they like at Young’s House of Happiness and will re-emerge armed with a goody bag, along with a pack of seeds and bulbs to inspire positive springtime thinking.
