1 Visit the Rhythm & Reaction: The Age of Jazz In Britain exhibition

If you love art and all things jazz related, you’ll love this upcoming event. Marking 100 years since jazz reached the ears of Britain, Two Temple Place in partnership with leading arts education charity The Arts Society will open to the public from the 27th January – 22nd April for Rhythm & Reaction: The Age of Jazz In Britain.

This major exhibition brings together painting, prints, cartoons, textiles and ceramics, moving film, instruments and the all-important jazz sounds, inspecting the influence of jazz on British art, design and wider society.

2 Feast on vegan dishes at YO! Sushi for just £2.80

To celebrate Veganuary – a month of meat and dairy-free eating – YO! has extended its plant-based menu and launched new vegan dishes available for an incredible £2.80 this January. For both vegan eaters across the UK, and those who want to kick-start their New Year resolutions by joining Veganuary, YO! will be launching some more tasty plant-based dishes that pack a punch.

These include the Green Gyoza, spinach dumplings filled with veggie goodness and Agedashi Tofu, a delicious hot tofu dish with daikon, ginger, spring onion and topped with Ponzu sauce at an incredible 86 kcal! The ‘it’ vegetable of the year also makes an appearance as YO! introduces Spicy Cauliflower to the menu – crispy cauliflower marinated in a light spice, garnished with red chilli and spring onions.

3 Try José Pizarro’s dishes at Craft London

Stevie Parle’s much loved #CookbookClub is moving to CRAFT London, starting with the fantastic chef & writer José Pizarro on January 31st.  Stevie and the team will cook up a menu based on dishes from José’s latest book ‘Catalonia’ with José joining him in the kitchen. From sardines on toast to calçots and rabbit rice, there will be plenty to feast upon.

In addition to the delectable dishes, there’ll be discounted copies of José’s book available to purchase during the evening – with the chance to have them signed too.

 4 Relax with candlelit yoga at Bluebird

Bluebird Chelsea are teaming up with Triyoga and Kiss the Moon to host a relaxing workshop this month. Enjoy a candlelit yoga session lead by Triyoga (this session is open to all levels), whilst Kiss The Moon provide gorgeous scented aromatherapy soy candles to ensure the room is filled with beautiful scents whilst guests stretch the January blues away.

Everything created by Kiss the Moon is made with care and respect for the environment using only natural ingredients including pure essential oils, with nothing artificial added.

7 Escape to the Cotswolds for a spoon carving workshop at Daylesford Farm

Daylesford Farm have teamed up with the talented GRAIN & KNOT to explore the art of hand-crafted woodwork: a tactile practice that celebrates natural materials and purposeful creation.

This hands-on workshop will show you how to craft your very own spoon from reclaimed timber. After an enjoyable few hours of honing your artisan skills, your unique creation will be finished and ready for you to take home to use for years to come.

9 Join Jason Atherton and Marcus Rohlen’s exclusive butchers dinner

On Tuesday 16th January, Jason Atherton and Marcus Rohlen, head chef at Social Wine & Tapas, will be hosting a collaborative dinner with the owners of Scottish butchers, Campbell Brothers.

Available for one night only at Social Wine & Tapas, the five-course menu will offer guests the opportunity to experience carefully curated dishes including Beef Tartare, tomatillo vinaigrette, whipped bone marrow and Buccleuch sirloin, braised cheek and miso caramel.

Executive Sommelier of the Social Company, Laura Patry, will pair each dish with a selected wine option. To begin with diners can also enjoy a beef butchery demonstration.
