Calling all ‘La La Land’ fans! Visit Barnsley House near Cirencester this September for a picturesque outdoor cinema experience
If you love elegance and great films, you’ll love this upcoming event at Barnsley House in Gloucestershire. Movie fans can pay a visit to enjoy a enjoy a special outdoor cinema evening which will co-star alongside Rosemary Verey’s internationally-acclaimed gardens this September.
Against its picturesque Cotswold backdrop, the scene is set for Barnsley House to premiere its ‘Movies on the Lawn’ evenings. With “Dirty Dancing’ already sold out for Friday 8th, ‘La La Land’ is now lined up to follow on the night of Saturday 9th September – with tickets going fast.
The outdoor cinema will take root in the hotel’s wider and more open pastureland, with plenty of space for those who might want to take to the floor for a spot of garden dancing – should the mood seize them!
The evening’s movie-goers are invited to arrive from 6.30pm, ahead of the presentation’s start just after sunset. With a BBQ stoked up and a fully-licensed bar, Barnsley House’s food and drink choices for the flicks will also play superbly to the sense of occasion.
At other times of the year, Barnsley House’s private 30-seater indoor cinema – with its characteristic bubble-gum pink seats – is tucked back from a small path that winds out from the hotel’s main manor house. This separate indoor cinema is available to hotel residents for an à deux viewing or can be booked by private parties. Sunday Cinema Club and Midweek Movie Nights are scheduled throughout the year.
