Escape the cold of December and immerse yourself at the pop up apres-ski lodge of The London EDITION’s BASEMENT for two exclusive wine tasting sessions with Loire Valley Wines.
On Saturday 9th and 16th December, guests are invited to enjoy a fine selection of wines from the Loire region at the ticketed event, accompanied by specially paired canapés by Head Sommelier Matteo Montone of the award-winning Berners Tavern.
The delectable evening will feature three of Loire’s very best: beginning with the 2014 Saumur Champigny from Tuffe, Chateau du Hureau, the red will be served alongside the Peppered Beef Carpaccio with avocado purée to complement the wine’s body and spicy aroma.
Following with the Coteaux du Layon from Chaume, Domaine des Forges, the sweetness and texture of the wine will be brought to attention served with mascarpone cream Choux buns and its acidity will cleanse the guests’ palate refreshingly.
Finish the feast with the sparkling Bouvet-Ladubay from Saumur to be paired with Berner Tavern’s Lobster Cocktail for its refined bubbles and acidity to cut through the freshness of the shellfish.
Located on the lower ground floor of The London EDITION, the eclectic venue will host guests in its seasonal wood-panelled alpine lodge for a festive twist on a traditional wine tasting event.
