Set within the heart of Kensington, 140-year-old Victorian-era townhouse hotel The Bailey’s Hotel is the ideal location to indulge in a chocolatey take on a traditional afternoon tea.  In celebration of National Chocolate Week, the hotel will be offering guests the chance to enjoy their Chocolate Afternoon Tea complete with a selection of delicious finger sandwiches, freshly-baked raisin and cinnamon scones served with clotted cream and preserves, and delectable chocolate cakes and pastries.

The afternoon tea will be accompanied by a variety of loose leaf teas and chocolate martinis including the Tiramisu – a creamy blend of Kahlua, amaretto, chocolate and double cream.

 2 Jaz & Jul’s bottomless chocolate brunch 


Just in time for National Chocolate Week, award-winning artisans Jaz & Jul’s have launched a bottomless option for their popular chocolate-themed veggie brunch. Feast on a savoury and sweet breakfast dish, plus unlimited Prosecco or special cocoa-filled breakfast cocktails for two hours.

3 Avista’s Italian-infused treats 

Millennium Hotel London Mayfair

Head over to Millennium Hotel London Mayfair’s three AA Rosette restaurant, Avista, for modern-Italian dishes combining sophisticated, autumnal flavours with hints of chocolate. Guests can enjoy smoked squib pigeon served with fig and celeriac and a delicious chocolate soil and light chocolate sauce that will be poured onto the dish giving extra aromas on the palate.

If that doesn’t quite satisfy the chocolate lover’s craving, then guests can also indulge in the Avista ti-ra-mi-sú – a deconstructed take on the classic Italian dessert served with a chocolate soil and chocolate tuile.

4 Millennium Gloucester’s array of indulgence


For those who are struggling to choose just one chocolatey treat, Millennium Gloucester Hotel in Kensington has an array of indulgent delights to choose from. Guests can enjoy an assiette of desserts including a scrumptious banana and chocolate mille feuille, white chocolate cup and rich dark chocolate brownie.

For something decadent, try the twist on the classic afternoon tea – think scones served with clotted cream and Nutella, chocolate-filled finger sandwiches and a selection of chocolate cakes.

5 Angler’s exotic tart

It’s no surprise that brilliant head chef Gary Foulkes has maintained the Moorgate restaurant’s Michelin star in the 2018 guide, with his flavourful desserts playing a key part to his success. His chocolate offering includes a tart made from banana, salted caramel, and Guanaja chocolate.

6 The Chelsea Harbour Hotel’s chocolate rainbow cake


Inspired by the colourful marina and The Chelsea Harbour Hotel’s beautiful waterside setting, guests can enjoy a chocolate rainbow cake for the duration of National Chocolate Week. Made up of seven brightly-coloured, dark and white chocolate layers and topped with fresh raspberries and a chocolate shard, it’s the perfect treat for any chocolate lover.

7 The Tamburlaine Hotel’s decadent afternoon tea 


Tuck into gooey triple chocolate brownies decorated with silky ganache and delicate edible flowers with the Tamburlaine Hotel’s tempting afternoon tea. Feast on finger sandwiches, exotic fruit pavlova, coffee macaroons and more.

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, you’re in for a serious treat. From 13 – 15 October, The Chocolate Show is returning to Kensington Olympia for a celebration of all things indulgent.

Enjoy celebrity chef masterclasses, delicious tastings, fun workshops and a Insta-licious wall of chocolate from Guitar’s. If that wasn’t enough, you can also visit a Chocolate Bar full of tempting tipples – creamy chocolate cocktail, anyone?

For the art crowd, feast your eyes on the arrival of the Choco l’ART exhibition. A range of the country’s finest chocolatiers will be recreating masterpieces from the sweet stuff – from Picasso to Banksy.
