One Night Only Returns To The Ivy

One Night Only will be returning to The Ivy in West Street for a spectacular evening on Sunday 4 December to help raise money for the Acting for Others charity.

Taking place to help raise funds for people from the theatre and dance communities who have fallen on hard times, an array of  fine actors and performers will be taking to the floor of The Ivy, including Halifax Tango-ing Anne Reid MBE and Sir Derek Jacobi; and on the dancing theme, Royal Ballet principal Edward Watson; the blue-blooded Elizabeth McGovern; and Midsomer sleuth Neil Dudgeon, to mention but a few.

Another 20 or so actors will be joining the throng to ply their trades in bartending, waiting tables, guarding doors and cloakrooms, and welcoming guests.

Following the performance, two dinner services will take place. Act I will start at 6pm and Act II will commence at 9pm – with an auction following each service.  Guests will be treated to a 3-course meal from The Ivy’s special A La Carte menu designed specially for the occasion by Executive Chef Gary Lee.

After the feasting, those attending can take part in an auction featuring enviable prizes such as as a meal for four every month of the year in a selection of the Caprice group’s restaurants; a dinner for 10 cooked at home by The Ivy’s chef; and seeing the “unmissable” No Man’s Land and meeting Sir Patrick Stewart after the performance. All proceeds will go to Acting for Others.
