The Royal Exchange Host Pasta Feast With Giles Coren

This November, The Royal Exchange are partnering with Pasta Evangelists and Giles Coren to host a sumptuous pasta feast.

The Royal Exchange will host a 4-course pasta feast in collaboration with The Pasta Evangelists, inspired by co-founder, Giles Coren’s favourite pasta dishes, reinterpreted by Head Chef Stefano Leone.  Designed to take guests on a gourmet journey around Italy, the menu is a celebration of the versatility and beauty of Italy’s national food, with an optional wine pairing and welcome negroni in Threadneedle Bar.


Pasta Evangelists is an artisanal fresh pasta company, that delivers pasta of the highest quality straight to the doors of homes across London. Founded early in 2017, Pasta Evangelists has already won backing from the likes of Prue Leith CBE, The Times food critic Giles Coren, and MasterChef critic and Waitrose Food Editor William Sitwell.

What’s on the menu
Reminiscent of the scorching climate and fresh seafood of the Italian islands, to start there will be an Open ravioli with red Sicilian prawns, black ink pasta, bell peppers and bisque, and steaming bowls of Sardinian Fregola with clams, bottarga, chilli, parsley, garlic, and saffron broth.


To follow, the iconic Roman dish of Cacio e Pepe will be dramatically served from hollowed out wheels of Pecorino Romano. Plated at the table, dessert will offer a theatrical finale to the evening, with sharing boards of Sicilian ricotta cannolo, tiramisu from Trentino, Milanese panna cotta, and baba from Naples.

Additionally, in celebration of the Italian roots of the chefs at both The Royal Exchange and Pasta Evangelists, one special collaborative dish of Fregola with clams, bottarga, chilli, parsley, garlic, and saffron broth will be available on the menus throughout Sauterelle, Threadneedle, The Grand Café and The Gallery from 6 November to 1 December.
