Mark Your Calendar For The 2017 St. Moritz Gourmet Festival

Calling all foodies – tickets are now on sale for the 2017 St. Moritz Gourmet Festival. Taking place from 30th January to 3rd February 2017 in the Upper Engadine, hungry adventurers can look forward to more than 40 different enjoyable events with ten top-level American master chefs.

With a different theme running each year, this year’s festival takes gourmands stateside, as they discover the ‘Best from the West’. The talented line-up is set to include Daniel Humm, James Kent, Enrique Olvera and the American Diner icon Ron Silver from New York, as well as Tal Ronnen from Los Angeles, Dean Fearing from Dallas, Kim Canteenwalla and Rick Moonen from Las Vegas, Lee Wolen from Chicago and Melissa Kelly from Rockland Maine – who will all be treating attendees to a range of scrumptious delights.

Epicures can look forward to an innovative and creative range of haute cuisine – from Mexican, Texan and vegan gourmet cuisine to farm-to-table and seafood specialties, as well as traditional American home cooking.

To kick off the celebrations, the Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains will host a Grand Julius Baer Opening with a Las Vegas theme. In front of a glamorous Vegas backdrop, all ten guest master chefs will serve samples of their culinary skills on different gourmet isles.

The festival week will continue with daily Gourmet Dinners that’ll take place in the stylish restaurants of the partner hotels. Each occasion will showcase the  individual cookery skills of the USA guest chefs with a differing five-course menu.

Entertainment also awaits with the coveted Gourmet Safaris. With exclusive BMW limousines and an experienced ranger, guests will go on a discovery tour to visit five guest chefs. The safari participants will be spoilt with multi-course menus, served directly at the Chef’s Table in the kitchens of the festival’s partner hotels.

What’s more, the festival will also feature the legendary Kitchen Party, as well as delicious tasting and wine events. From Chocolate Cult sessions at Badrutt’s Palace Hotel to Fascination Champagne classes at the Suvretta House, there’s something for every foodie.

The crowning event of the week will once more be the Great BMW Gourmet Finale, taking place with all the master chefs at the Kulm Hotel St. Moritz for an edible extravaganza.
