The Dead Rabbit Is Coming To Dublin This Autumn

The world’s best bar is bringing its tricks and tipples straight to Dublin’s hottest new bar, The Sidecar at The Westbury hotel for a special five day residency

On 28th September, The Dead Rabbit team is set to hop over from New York and descend on Dublin’s finest new cocktail bar, The Sidecar at The Westbury, for their first ever residency on Irish soil.

Running from Thursday 28th September – Monday 2nd October 2017, The Dead Rabbit, voted number one the World’s Best 50 Bar’s, is ‘coming home’ to Ireland for the very first time. Guests can enjoy an innovative cocktail list created by Beverage Director Jillian Vose and a pub grub food menu will be on offer at the hotel’s new bar, The Sidecar.

The residency will transport visitors back in time and showcase the escapades of pre-prohibition in the 1850’s when gangs patrolled the streets of Lower Manhattan, merged with the whirlwind glitz and glamour of a 1930’s party at The Sidecar, Dublin.

The Dead Rabbit is the brainchild of Belfast Boys, Sean Muldoon and Jack McGarry, who will be setting up shop at The Sidecar, bringing the atmosphere of The Dead Rabbit’s renowned second-floor New York ‘Parlor’ and shaking up some of their most popular cocktails for hotel guests and locals alike.

These will include the ‘Spell Spoke’; Slane Irish Whiskey, Hibiscus, Kaffir Lime Leaf, Ginger, Lime, Chamomile and Citrus Bitters, the ‘Eye Candy’; Teeling Single Grain Irish Whiskey, Peach, Fig, Cinnamon, Lemon, Chamomile and Black Cardamon and the ‘Heretic’; Bombay Dry Gin, Mezcal, Elderflower, Pine and Muscat.

Wash down the award-winning drinks with a selection of dishes, which will include ‘Carlingford Lough Rock Oysters’ served with lemon, tabasco and mignonette, a traditional ‘Ham & Cheese Toastie’ with Irish Cheddar and tomato jam and ‘The Dead Rabbit Burger’ with John Stone Irish Beef, bacon, Irish cheddar, wild mushroom and chips.

The Dead Rabbit’s Founder, Sean Muldoon says “This is the first time we’ve done an event of this scale in Ireland. It’s great to be coming home and we’re looking forward to bringing The Dead Rabbit to Dublin.”
