1 Visit World of Wedgwood’s  ‘A wonderful Wedgwood christmas tale’

World of Wedgwood are treating visitors to its Christmas programme ‘A wonderful Wedgwood Christmas Tale’ throughout December, an exciting magical installation. The experience takes visitors on a journey seen through the eyes of Alexander Chisholm. This journey will pass shimmering Christmas trees, mythical creatures, inspiring table settings and beautiful gifts.

Along the way, visitors will have a chance to pick up styling and entertaining tips from a range of creative voices to help them make their Christmas season even more special for family and friends – from decorating a tree and setting a table to wrapping gifts.

During the experience visitors can enjoy a tea tasting program, curated by tea expert Bernadine Tay, who will explore a new perspective on teas as well as proposing inspiring food matching ideas. Guests are also encouraged to share their joy of Christmas through writing their own personal message on the wishing tree with an opportunity to make a donation to local charity, Dougie Mac.

Visitors can also learn about Wedgwood’s heritage through a guided museum tour in the award-wining Wedgwood museum.  Experience Wedgwood’s the unique artisan skills and techniques in operation, including casting, throwing, figure making, hand painting and gilding, which have been honed over 250 years at Barlaston, the home of Wedgwood.

2 Dine at Ferrero Rocher’s Dolce pop-up

If you love chocolate, you’ll love Ferrero Rocher’s latest decadent dining experience. The chocolate brand is set to launch Dolce by Ferrero Rocher, a pop-up dessert destination, for ten days only from 1st December.

From the cocoa-roasted hazelnut heart to its glittering gold wrapper, guests will be taken on a delicious journey celebrating what makes Ferrero Rocher so special. Those attending the experience can enjoy an exclusive tasting plate of five beautiful, mini hand-crafted desserts, curated by celebrated chef Paul Hannagen – owner, director and head chef at Cuisson, the luxury gastronomy company.

3 Indulge with Ham Yard Village’s Christmas shopping evening

To celebrate the start of Ham Yard Village’s Christmas shopping hours, join the boutiques for an evening of late night shopping, exclusive offers and festive treats as well as music in the twinkling courtyard. 4 Tuck in at Paradise Garage and The Gentlemen’s Academy’s ‘Disco Brunch’
Paradise Garage in Bethnal Green is taking brunch to the next level with their notorious ‘Disco Brunch’.  The east London restaurant joins forces again with the formidable team from The Gentlemen’s Academy on Sunday 11th December to present the music and food bonanza, as well as marking the launch of Paradise Garage’s new Sunday brunch menu.  Throwing open their doors at 1.30pm, brunch-goers will be treated to tunes from up and coming DJs, a brunch feast and plenty of cocktails.

Head Chef Simon Woodrow and his team have created an impressive brunch menu, which will launch at Disco Brunch and then will be served each Sunday following the event.  Starting with a selection of snacks such as ‘Smoked cod croquettes’ and ‘Devils on horseback’, guests will then be treated to ‘BBQ beef short-rib’ which will be served with ‘Shakshuka’, a Middle Eastern dish of eggs poached in a spicy tomato sauce.

On arrival, each guest will be welcomed with a ‘Bloody Maria’, Paradise Garage’s take on a classic Bloody Mary with the added bonus of a little 1880 tequila, and can then move on to the specially curated Disco Brunch cocktail menu.

6 Climb aboard Britannia for a Christmas private tour

For the first time, The Royal Yacht Britannia is offering individual tickets for a Christmas private tour aboard Her Majesty The Queen’s former floating palace.

You and fellow guests will be welcomed along the red carpet and board Britannia via The Royal Brow, an entrance previously reserved only for The Queen and Royal Family.

Enjoy a ‘behind-the-ropes’ private guided tour of Britannia experiencing the highlights of this iconic ship whilst taking in the sumptuous Christmas decorations and learning about festive traditions on board. You’ll step inside the Admiral’s Cabin, see the Honeymoon Suite and visit the beautiful State Dining Room, where guests including Presidents Nelson Mandela and Bill Clinton, Frank Sinatra and Elizabeth Taylor would have once been wined and dined.

7 Experience ‘As The Romans Do – A Christmas Feast’ at Thyme

Boutique luxury hotel and English country destination Thyme, nestled in the Cotswold village of Southrop, is hosting a special Christmas ‘Thyme’s Table’ dinner on 10 December. Hosted by self-styled food interpreter Eleonora Galasso, this festive feast will see traditional Italian recipes reimagined.

Those looking to channel their inner Italian chef can also take part in a two-hour morning class where Eleanor will reveal how to create the perfect Italian lunch inspired by the festive season and Thyme’s Kitchen Gardens.

8 Attend D&D London’s mystery dinner

On Thursday 15th December, the D&D London restaurant group is set to celebrate its Fairytales in the City Christmas campaign with A Night of Enchantment – an exclusive five-course Champagne dinner hosted at a top secret central London location.

Created by the restaurant group’s catering company, Alexander & Björck, in partnership with Champagne Laurent-Perrier, the festive banquet will feature one course each from five of D&D’s talented top chefs.

The evening will begin with a festive salad from Sartoria’s Francesco Mazzei, followed by a classic steak tartare from the group’s collection of chophouses. The main course will offer a sneak preview of Aster, the next restaurant opening from D&D coming to Victoria in early 2017. Executive Chef, Helena Puolakka, will serve up a Nordic-inspired dish of Arctic char, alder wood smoked buckwheat and caramelised salsify with a lemon thyme crème fraiche sauce.

Finally, to round off the feast, Coq d’Argent’s Damien Rigollet will treat guests to a wickedly delicious storybook-inspired Red Apple Parfait dessert.
