Good Things’ Thai Supper Club

We’ve hosting an exclusive Thai supper club in partnership with Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts and Best at Travel this November – and you’re invited to join the feasting. The event will take place on Thursday 24th November at the glorious Gilgamesh restaurant in Camden – and will feature a special Thailand-inspired menu served by chef Mark Read.

Mark recently visited the Angsana Laguna resort in Phuket to learn more about the superb cuisine on offer – and guests attending the meal can sample a range of traditional and tasty Thai dishes. Taste of London: The Festive Edition is set to return to Tobacco Dock this November for two days of endless festive feasting – and we’re giving away ten pairs of tickets to the edible action.

Tuck into a truffle and wine dinner at Polpo
Polpo’s Executive Chef, Jason Wass, will be cooking up a truffle feast for one night only this November – alongside truffle connoisseur Ben Milne who’ll be guiding guests through their delicious meal.

Polpo will be serving their taster dishes – all with a white and black truffle theme, as well as a whole suckling pig for the main. Hungry guests can expect the delights of cured halibut, venison wrapped hens’ eggs, truffle mayo black trumpet pappardelle, white truffle apricot & sage stuffed suckling pig and plenty more.  Each dish will be paired with wines picked by wine expert Tom Harrow from Piedmont, Umbria and the Marche regions of Italy. Step into the wilderness with Social Pantry


This November, Social Pantry invites guests to “Step into the Wilderness” for a magical evening of autumnal feasting at Habitat’s Platform Gallery. The space will be transformed into a wonderland for a seasonal feast – which is guaranteed to kick Bonfire Night off with a bang.

Diners can enjoy a 6-course menu at Habitat’s Platform Gallery –  inspired by the flavours of the wild with a focus on local, seasonal produce. Classic flavours will dominate with starters of Sweet Potato Gnocchi, Basil and Sage Pesto and Dried Swiss Chard Crisp, whilst mains will feature Pan Seared Bream with Tonnato, Roasted Tomatoes and Gremolata, served alongside a sharing Roasted Pumpkin Salad.  To finish, those with a sweet tooth can enjoy warm cinnamon doughnuts with toffee apple and ‘Toast Your Own’ rosewater marshmallows for a refined take on Bonfire Night classics. Guests are invited to bring their tipple of choice and are encouraged to pre-order through official drinks partner Humble Grape who will conveniently deliver their bottle straight to the venue.

Celebrate Hoppers 1st birthday with a Sri Lankan feast

Sri Lankan restaurant Hoppers in Soho will toast their first birthday with a day of traditional home-style Sri Lankan feasting. Guests are invited to visit to be transported to the warmer climes of Sri Lanka – with the restaurant set to be adorned with an abundance of hanging jungle tropical plants, banana leaves and lanterns. 

There will be four sittings from lunch through to dinner, with a set menu of exclusive short eats and small dishes served family style. Guests can  dine on off-menu specials – including Venison Kothu Roti, and a choice of either Beef Shortrib & Parsnip Rolls, or Banana Blossom Rolls both served with SL hot sauce. A selection of dishes including; Syrian Christian Beef Pickle; Savoy Cabbage Poriyal; Ceylon Cashew Nut Avial; Masala Fried Mackerel; Green Peppercorn Guinea Fowl Kari; Fried Papad and a Yoghurt Chilli will also be available, all served on a traditional style platter with a choice of either Masala Oothappam or Egg Hopper to rip or dip into. A Jaffna Roasted Lamb Shank with Rasa, Coconut Rice and Pumpkin Raitawill form the main event for all to tuck into and share. 

Since opening last October,  Hoppers has received accolades such as a five-star review from Fay Maschler in the Evening Standard, and the ‘BMW Square Meal Restaurant of the Year Award’ in April, followed by the ‘Tatler Restaurant of the Year’ in May. Hoppers was also named ‘Best New Restaurant’ at the London Evening Standard Restaurant Awards this June, and most recently received a coveted Michelin Bib Gourmand.

Sip on sherry at Bar Pepito 


To coincide with the National Sherry Week (7-13 November 2016), Bar Pepito is launching a series of sherry tasting and pairing events, starting with ‘An introduction to different sherry styles and perfect Christmas food matching.’ Tucked away across the courtyard from Camino Kings Cross, Bar Pepito is an intimate Andalusian bodega specialising in an extensive range of sherry. Attendees can enjoy a welcome sherry cocktail followed by five sherries, matched with festive tapas from Camino Head Chef Nacho del Campo and a goodie bag to take home.

Experience an exclusive sake master class with Tokimeite
Tokimeite, the contemporary Japanese dining destination in the heart of Mayfair, will take on the complex, sophisticated flavours of sake on 10 November 2016 as its own expert sommelier and premium Japanese brewery, Tosatsuru pair up to host an exclusive evening dedicated to the delicious complexities of sake.

Set to the unique aesthetic of world-renowned Michelin-starred Kyoto chef, Yoshihiro Murata and acclaimed designer Yasumichi Morita’s Tokimeite, the evening will fuse a truly authentic taste of Japan with a unique selection of beautiful sake wines, imported directly from their homeland. Making the event one not to be missed, the Tosatsuru brewery owner will travel from Japan specifically to share his knowledge and appreciation of sake along with select examples of his wines.

Diners at the one-night-only master class will enjoy a tasting menu prepared by Executive Head Chef, Hayashi. Each course has been carefully designed to pair perfectly with a selection of sharp and mineral sakes.  Dishes include squid and wasabi stem arranged in wasabi sauce, slow-cooked scallop and apple with black truffles, premium sashimi wagyu beef grilled on magnolia leaf with gingko nuts flavoured in hoba-miso. Accompanying this curated menu of signature Tokimeite dishes will be a hand-picked selection of sake’s served both hot and cold. Awash with intricate notes, flavour variations, groups and vintages, Tokimeite’s sake master class is an exclusive experience for diners keen to better understand the subtle etiquette and complex flavours of Japan’s national drink.

Try Searcy’s One New Change cocktail masterclass
Searcy’s One New Change have joined forces with Cocchi, the award-winning producer of vermouth and aperitivo wines from Turin, to create an exciting evening of Itailan cocktails and vermouth tasting. The masterclass will be guided by the engaging brand ambassador, who’ll take guests on a journey through the origins and rich history of vermouth – as well as some of Italy’s classic cocktails.

Le Notti Torino spritzes will be served on arrival, followed by a tasting of three different Cocchi vermouth. To accompany the tippeles, guests can enjoy a selection of delicious antipasti of Italian cheeses and charcuterie.
