Replicating traditional Hampton’s beach houses with nautical furnishings throughout, The Summerhouse provides the perfect spot for the special evening. Transforming locally sourced, seasonal produce into five delectable dishes, Head Chef Christophe Clerget will be serving an impressive five-course tasting menu, each course expertly paired with a different Mount Pleasant Estate wine. Taking place on 24th February, join the talented team of chefs as they reveal the secrets behind Aubergine Parmigiana and Sicilian Caponata, two hearty dishes which are as much suited to a chilly British February evening as they are to a balmy Italian night in May. 3 Enjoy sumptuous snacks with Social Wine & Tapas and Picture


On Monday 19th February, Jason Atherton and executive head chef of Social Wine & Tapas, Marcus Rohlen, will be hosting a collaborative dinner with fellow Marylebone restaurant, Picture. Jason will be greeting guests on arrival, and with Marcus, will be introducing the dishes created by Social Wine & Tapas, while the dishes created by Picture will be introduced by co-founders Colin Kelly, Tom Slegg and Alan Christie.

What’s on the menu:
• Sardine on toast with tomatillo vinaigrette and Game bites with Nduja emulsion
• Lake District venison, artichoke, apple balsamic buerre noisette
• Pressed pork cheek with lightly smoked ham hock, rhubarb, endive marmalade and pickled beetroot
• Persimmon, cava sabayon and a lime fromage frais sorbet

In addition, Social Wine & Tapas’ Executive Sommelier, Laure Patry, has created a dynamic list of wines to enhance the flavour profile of each dish.

4 Join Salon’s Isole e Olena wine dinner

Join Salon and Paolo De Marchi from Isole e Olena in the rolling hills of Tuscany for one night only as Paolo brings his amazing wines for a dinner on Tuesday 20th February. Paolo will be opening his wonderful Chardonnay, which is beautifully Burgundian in style, his widely acclaimed Cepparello; a silky and elegant sangiovese, and a powerful syrah; a grape varietal not usually found in Italy but which responds beautifully to the Tuscan terroir and weather.

The menu is being designed by fantastic sous chef, Paolo Lancini, who cut his teeth at Artusi in Peckham for 5 years and hails from Lombardia. Head chef, Nicholas Balfe, is overseeing proceedings but allowing Paolo carte blanche to develop a delicious menu to match the glory of the wines. It will feature antipasti, primi, secondi & dolce.

5 Try a pizza brunch at Radici


Francesco Mazzei’s much-loved Islington trattoria, Radici, is launching a new bottomless weekend brunch, that centres around a knockout sharing pizza created by Francesco and the newly-appointed Head Chef, Giuseppe Cafaro. Radici’s Brunch Pinsa for two to share, is a playful and delicious take on several classic combinations, featuring smoked salmon and yoghurt, poached eggs and avocado, prosciutto and mushroom, and is set to become a classic on the London brunch scene.

Dishes include:
• Tuscany meets Puglia with pappa pomodoro, burrata and anchovy
• Cannellini bean stew with poached eggs and sausage
• Ciambotta, grilled pumpkin, mushrooms and torpedino tomatoes.
• Grilled pineapple and pancetta pancakes with, mascarpone, honey and orange

When: Launching on 17 February, brunch will be available Saturdays 11am-2.30pm, and Sundays 11am-4pm

6 Try a cookery course at Lancashire’s culinary star

Northcote’s prestigious cookery school offers a range of courses from premium masterclasses to full and half-day courses.

Choose from Northcote’s Modern Desserts (£210 pp – 10/11/12 April), which includes making a Bakewell Soufflé and an Apple Cheesecake, or Luxury Dinner Party Secrets (£350 pp – 24 & 27 April): impress your guests with a decadent three-course menu consisting of caviar, truffle and langoustine with canapés and an amuse-bouche.

Alternatively, for something more relaxed, Ceramic and Pizza Oven cooking (£210 pp – various dates in July & August) will pass on the skills to make fool-proof dough, sourdough pizzas plus salmon burgers and pork belly. Make a night of it and stay overnight for an additional £130 per room/£65 pp (two sharing; Mon-Thurs), including breakfast.

8 Celebrate International Tequila Day at Sanderson’s Long Bar


As the old saying goes, when life gives you limes, make Margaritas. And who are Sanderson to stand in the way of tradition? In celebration of International Margarita Day on the 22nd, they’ve got drinking Margaritas down to a fine art at their iconic Long Bar.

Revellers at the Fiesta de Tequila will be invited to sample a selection of 4 Margarita’s – Classic Margarita, Tommy’s Margarita, Spicy Margarita and Jasmine Margarita. All are priced at £10. It doesn’t stop at the cocktails – the walls will be decorated with fiesta bunting, waiting staff will be topped with sombreros, and a DJ and mariachi band will be bringing the sound of Mexico to the bar.
